Orlando International Airport has been named the seventh busiest airport in the United States for 2025, climbing two spots from its previous ninth-place ranking. MCO welcomed 57,675,573 passengers during the year, marking a 0.8% increase over 2024 according to Airports Council International–North America. The airport trails major hubs like Atlanta, Dallas, and Denver but outranks Miami, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. Orlando’s growth stands out because overall U.S. passenger traffic declined by 0.7 percent in 2025. Florida welcomed a record 143.3 million visitors during the year, supporting Central Florida’s tourism industry. MCO is undergoing major transformation including renamed terminals, additional parking, and a future vertistop to meet growing demand. The airport serves millions traveling to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort, and other Central Florida attractions.
