Theatergoers will receive an exclusive preview of the first teaser trailer for Pixar’s upcoming film Gatto before watching Toy Story 5. This special screening is scheduled to occur on the big screen ahead of the main feature presentation. The new movie follows a character named Nero who develops an unexpected friendship that helps him discover his true purpose. Director Enrico Casarosa and producer Andrea Warren are collaborating again, returning to Italy as the film’s setting for this Italian-inspired story. Breaking from Pixar’s usual techniques, Gatto will utilize a unique hand-painted animation style representing a visual innovation for the studio. The film is officially set for release on March 5, 2027 in theaters across the country. Festival attendees at Annecy International Animation Film Festival will receive an early sneak peek later this month alongside another project called Hexed.
