Actor Ryan Reynolds has reassured fans that another Deadpool movie is on the way, even though no official announcement from Marvel Studios has been made yet. During a panel at Fanatics Fest, the actor mentioned several comic book stories he wants to adapt for the screen, including ones by Fabian Nicieza and Gerry Duggan. While there will eventually be another film, Reynolds explained that Wade Wilson will likely become more of a supporting character rather than headlining solo appearances in the future. The actor believes this shift allows Deadpool to better serve as a perpetual outsider within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If the character were fully accepted into teams like the Avengers or X-Men, it would end the core appeal of his humor and search for acceptance. Following the box office success of Deadpool and Wolverine, Marvel appears to be planning another chapter for the Merc with a Mouth despite the lack of an official confirmation at this time.
