Nine green sea turtles have been safely returned to the Atlantic Ocean after successful rehabilitation at SeaWorld Orlando. These marine animals were rescued earlier in the year when an unusually cold winter in Florida caused them to suffer from cold stress and severe malnutrition. Veterinary staff provided continuous care over several months, which included medical diagnostics, nutritional support, and specialized rehabilitation treatments. One turtle even needed extensive shell repair before it could be cleared for release into the wild. The park’s conservation team now operates with great success, having rescued 38 turtles and returned 27 to their natural habitat throughout 2026. This ongoing program plays a vital role in protecting Florida’s marine wildlife from various environmental challenges including weather events and injuries. Watching these resilient creatures paddle back into the ocean demonstrates how effective conservation efforts can create happy endings for injured animals. The dedication of SeaWorld’s rescue team continues to make a meaningful impact on wildlife protection throughout Central Florida and beyond.
