Single Rider Lines at Walt Disney World Benefits, Drawbacks, and Tips for Solo Guests

Single Rider lines offer a time-saving option for solo guests at Walt Disney World attractions by filling empty seats in ride vehicles. These queues separate riders from their groups before boarding, which can be beneficial for thrill-seekers but may disrupt family experiences. Four attractions feature permanent Single Rider lines, while others like Soarin and Rise of the Resistance have temporary or inconsistent options. Recent changes include the removal of the line at Expedition Everest due to new queue sorting procedures and a test implementation at Space Mountain using Lightning Lane entry. While these lines can reduce wait times significantly, they skip portions of pre-shows or interactive segments on some rides. Cast Members may still seat groups together if two empty seats are available, though this is not guaranteed. The effectiveness varies by day, time, and crowd levels, with shorter waits often occurring on weekday mornings when locals dominate the parks.
