Indoor Seating Is BACK at This Classic Ice Cream Spot in Disney Springs!

Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop

We’ve eaten a ridiculous amount of ice cream from Ghirardelli so far, with the new Gold Rush Sundae and Nacho Sundae (and we don’t even feel sorry about it!), we were happy to find another surprise when we visited today!

Indoor dining was back, baby!!

Ghirardelli previously had closed off its indoor seating and a Cast Member would bring your treats outside to you…

Indoor seating closed

…but now, indoor seating is back open for guests to chill out in the A/C and cool off with some cold treats! Be aware, there isn’t MUCH seating since Ghirardelli is enforcing social distancing measures. So if you go and it’s full, don’t panic! Guests can still sit right outside the shop and enjoy their ice cream.

Ghirardelli Indoor Seating is OPEN!

With so many goodies to choose from at Ghirardelli, we’re happy to sit anywhere as long as we have a nice sundae or shake in our hands!

raglan road

Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant announced today that its quick-service Cooke’s of Dublin restaurant, popular for authentic fish and chips and gourmet burgers, will reopen June 3, 2020, at Disney Springs from noon to 10 p.m. daily. The adjacent table-service Raglan Road restaurant will reopen one week later on June 10, 2020.

Raglan Road will reopen from 4-to-10 p.m. daily with a compact menu of its delicious modern Irish cuisine and featuring authentic live Irish music and dance entertainment, says co-owner Paul Nolan. Reservations are recommended and can be made at www.raglanroad.com or by calling 407/938-0300.  Raglan Road’s Shop for Ireland gift boutique also will reopen during dining hours.

“We’ve had the most amazing support and encouragement from Raglan fans in weeks past, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to enjoy our award-winning fare and vibrant pub atmosphere,” Nolan said. “Our reopening plan features quite a few steps to protect our employee family and all of our guests and friends.”

Raglan Road Irish Restaurant & Pub reopening safety procedures will include:

  • Employees’ temperatures taken daily
  • Six-feet-or-more social distancing where possible
  • Masks worn by all employees and required for guests to enter
  • Automatic hand sanitizer stations placed throughout the venue; enhanced surface cleaning and disinfecting
  • QR scan code on every table so guests can read the menu on their mobile phones
  • Dishes served covered from kitchen to table; single-use condiments available where possible
  • One-way traffic system in pub designed to reduce contact
  • Safety signs posted throughout
  • Safe screens mounted to protect Raglan employee team and guests

“This is our house, and the people who work here are our family. All of you who come here are our friends, so please join us in keeping everybody safe while we’re having a good time,” Nolan said.

Owned and operated by Irish partners John Cooke and Paul Nolan, Raglan Road features traditional Irish dishes and new creations with a Celtic twist.  The restaurant’s warm interior of aged walnut and mahogany woods from old Irish bars and churches was built in Ireland and shipped to Orlando for its 2005 grand opening.  Live entertainment nightly and during weekend brunch includes Irish house band shows featuring the Raglan Road Irish Dancers.  Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant is located at Disney Springs in the Walt Disney World Resort, 1640 E. Buena Vista Dr., Lake Buena Vista, Fla.  Visit www.raglanroad.com or call 407/938-0300.

Review! A Cookie Monster Cupcake — But Make It Vegan. We’re In Disney Springs Visiting Erin McKenna’s Bakery!

Disney Springs has reopened, and we we’re checking it all out!

Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC

We’ve been bring you a bunch of Disney food with reviews of Morimoto Asia, The Polite Pig, and MANY MORE while we wander around the shopping and dining district. And, today, we’re back to treat ourselves to something sweet at Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC!

Since Erin McKenna’s is following the health and safety guidelines that Disney Springs has put in place, the bakery is only letting one party in at a time to place an order (you can read more about that here!). And, while everything looked SO GOOD (can we have one of each, please??), we went with the Cookie Monster Cupcake and Veggie Bomb!

Erin McKenna’s Bakery Case

The Cookie Monster Cupcake was a vanilla blonde cupcake with chocolate chips sprinkled throughout. The top was covered in Erin McKenna’s signature frosting, a chunk of one of the bakery’s chocolate chip cookies, and a chocolate drizzle.

Cookie Monster Cupcake

WOW, this cupcake might be one of the best things we’ve ever had at Erin McKenna’s! The cake was moist and the cookie on top was soft — and we totally forgot it was vegan! Although we usually love lots of frosting on our cupcakes, we did like that there was only a decent amount on the Cookie Monster Cupcake. It didn’t take away from any of the other flavors and let each part of the cupcake stand out on its own! We’d have this over and over again (and it just makes us want to try MORE cupcakes at Erin McKenna’s!).

On the more savory side, the Veggie Bomb had a texture like a biscuit with broccoli, peppers, and vegan cheese mixed inside.

Veggie Bomb

The flavors in the Veggie Bomb were great, and you could taste the peppers and cheese with each bite! Buuuut if you’re thinking about it as a biscuit, it was a little on the drier side. And, while we enjoyed the taste of Erin McKenna’s version, we’re pretty partial to the Cheddar Drop Biscuits at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, so you might want to pop over there if you’re looking for some awesome biscuits.

Veggie Bomb

However, the treats at Erin McKenna’s are vegan — so you might be able to find something for everyone in your party to enjoy!

Veggie Bomb and Cookie Monster Cupcake

We might need to swing back around for seconds on the Cookie Monster Cupcake (or even a dozen tbh)! ? But, if you’re looking for even MORE places to get some dessert, you can also take a look at all the restaurants open in Disney Springs here!
