Is Shopping in Disney World Different? Here’s What We Experienced Today!

We are BACK at Magic Kingdom for the first time in MONTHS! From checking out some of our favorite rides to admiring Cinderella Castle’s new glow-up from close up, it has been A DAY!

Is Shopping in Disney World Different? Here’s What We Experienced Today!

Magic Kingdom

And after seeing which shops would be reopening in Magic Kingdom (as well as EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom!) we started prepping our lists of must-buy items!

We popped into a couple Magic Kingdom shops today to scope out the scene and see how our retail-therapy session compared to the ones we’ve previously experienced at Disney Springs as well as the select Disney World resorts that have recently reopened!

Crowds and Waiting to Shop

One of our biggest questions was whether we would have to wait in a virtual queue like we did at World of Disney on its first day back in operation! The process was relatively smooth but still a change from what we’ve been used to in Disney World!

Is Shopping in Disney World Different? Here’s What We Experienced Today!

Main Street Confectionery

We were told by Magic Kingdom Cast Members that just like the Disney-owned Disney Springs stores, some theme park gift shops may activate a virtual queue system if a crowd forms. You’ll check in at the front of the store and give your phone number to a Cast Member. Then, when it’s your turn to shop, they’ll contact you to return.

Magic Kingdom

We noticed that none of the stores (at lease when we were there), including the Emporium, had activated their virtual queues today so we were able to walk right into any shop without waiting. At Uptown Jewelers, there’s a separate virtual queue just to view the Pandora jewelry case.

Designated Exit

Most stores now have a designated entrance and exit too to help control the flow of foot traffic.

Shopping

Once we got inside, our shopping experience was pretty similar to what we’ve seen elsewhere in Disney World so far. We saw some familiar signage throughout the store, reminding guests to maintain physical distancing and to handle the products as little as possible.

Signage Inside the Store

Dressing rooms are also unavailable at most locations.

Fitting Rooms Are Closed

There’s still plenty of merchandise on the sales floor, but some of the product displays have been reoriented to allow for easier social distancing.

Checking Out and Payment

Once we selected our treasures to bring home with us, it was time to hop in line! Physical distancing floor markers are present at the checkouts much like they are at other shopping locations throughout Disney World. New plexiglass barriers have also been installed at the cash registers.

Emporium’s Check-Out

For payment, Disney is encouraging all guests to utilize contactless payments, such as Apple Pay or your MagicBand.

Emporium

And just like that, our first Magic Kingdom shopping excursion is complete! Keep in mind, anything you purchase at ANY Disney World theme park gift shop will not be available for front-of-park package pick-up or hotel delivery for the time being. They CAN, however, still ship your items home for you for an additional shipping fee!

B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. Is Now Open in Disney World!

With all the craziness (and the LONG WAIT) that it took to get inside World of Disney yesterday, we’re finally getting around to some other Disney-owned businesses that recently reopened!

B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co.

One of those newly reopened spots happens to be run by the Big Bag Wolf! And if you’re a fan hot dogs and brats, you may be happy to know B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. is open for business!

That’s right, little piggies! B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. officially reopened yesterday! According to the Cast Member we spoke with, they’re operating with only a slightly smaller menu.

B.B. Wolf’s Menu

We also noticed B.B. Wolf’s Maple Bacon Chocolate-Chip Cookie Dough was no longer listed on its permanent menu! It’s still available, but this rather temporary-looking pop-up sign gave us a moment of pause!

Check out our review of B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. in Disney Springs here!

B.B. Wolf’s Window

There wasn’t a line at B.B. Wolf’s when we stopped by today, but we did notice they’ve placed some social distancing markers outside just in case there’s a rush! And to see another Disney-owned restaurant we’ve had a chance to visit at Disney Springs recently, click here!

These New Pandora Charms Are Total CUTIES in Disney Springs Right Now!

Calling all animal lovers! After our early morning escapades at World of Disney, we stopped by Pandora today to see what was new and EXCITING!

Pandora at Disney Springs

We haven’t seen any new charms here since the temporary closure last March. We were ALSO on the lookout for any new safety measures Pandora has also implemented since reopening last week!

As you can see, there’s a clear one-way path marked with arrows on the floor so that guests won’t bump into each other while browsing. Only a certain number of guests are allowed into the store at one time as well.

Pandora

Signage located near the door welcomes guests back while also reminding them to practice social distancing while shopping.

Pandora

In addition to the directional arrows, social distancing markers show guests where to stand at safe intervals from each other.

Pandora

Looking in the cases, we spotted several new Pandora Disney Charms that have recently flown in! Each of the new charms we’re about to show ya costs $55 and features one of our favorite Disney kitties, doggies, aliens, and even a FISH!

Pandora Charms

Cast Members referred to these both as the Cuties line as well as the Babies, but one thing is for certain — they’re adorable! We spied Mickey and Minnie Pandora Charms! Aren’t they just the cutest things EVER?

Mickey and Minnie Pandora Charms

Right next door, we spotted this handsome duo! That’s right, doggo moms — here’s a new Stitch Pandora Charm (okay, so he’s not REALLY a dog, but he DOES masquerade as one on occasion?) along with this adorable 101 Dalmations Charm! They’re the same cartoony style as the new Mickey and Minnie Pandora Charms and would look really good all together!

If you’re more of a cat person, you gotta check out this new Marie Pandora Charm for $55! It’s pawsitively perfect in every way!

And check out these two troublemakers — we also discovered this Cheshire Cat and Nemo Pandora Charm today!

Cheshire Cat and Find Nemo Pandora Charms

We’d almost forgotten how wonderful it feels to see new Pandora Charms out in the wild. Hopefully, you’ll have the chance to grab them IRL someday, but for now you can find a few of them on Pandora’s website.
