TSA Ends Gold+ Program After Trial at Tampa Airport

This initiative, originally designed to modernize aviation security through public-private partnerships, will be replaced by an evolved Screening Partnership Program. The new approach aims to better integrate private sector involvement while enhancing traveler experience and checkpoint efficiency. Tampa International Airport decided not to adopt the Gold+ model after conducting an extensive review of its operations.
