Universal Orlando Fast & Furious Ride Closes in 2026 for New Coaster

Universal Orlando has officially confirmed that Fast & Furious: Supercharged will cease operations on August 16, 2026, to make room for a brand new Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coaster experience. When this screen-based dark ride first debuted in April 2018, it received mixed to poor reviews along with notably short wait times, though it did generate numerous memes over its lifetime. Despite ranking near the bottom of guest favorites lists, the attraction offered a unique undercover party bus adventure designed to transport fictional FBI informants to a secret hideout. Rumors suggest there is no current replacement plan other than keeping the existing ride vehicles running, as they still have several years of operational life remaining before needing retirement. This significant change marks another evolution in the park’s high-octane Fast & Furious-themed offerings while transitioning from a static screen simulation to a thrilling roller coaster experience. Park visitors are now debating whether they feel excitement or sadness about seeing their favorite themed ride come to an end after six years of service.
