Universal Studios Hollywood is set to open its first outdoor high-speed roller coaster, Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, on September 16. This new attraction will be the fastest coaster in the Universal Destinations portfolio, reaching speeds of 72 mph across 4,100 feet of track. The ride features four independent launches and various high-speed elements including an inverted dive loop and twisted pretzel loop woven into the hillside terrain. Each ride vehicle can rotate independently through 360 degrees, allowing guests to experience different thrill levels based on their seating position. The vehicles are modeled after iconic cars from the Fast & Furious franchise including a Dodge Charger, Mazda RX-7, Nissan Skyline GT-R, and Toyota Supra.
