The project involved close collaboration between Walt Disney Imagineering and Facility Asset Management teams who worked diligently to minimize disruption to Magic Kingdom guests throughout the renovation process. Specialized high-performance automotive paint was used for durability, with careful attention paid to sheen variations that make the castle appear more lifelike under Florida sunshine. One of the most challenging aspects involved draining the castle moat and working at heights up to 150 feet while keeping cranes mostly out of guest view through strategic scheduling.
