Walt Disney World Expands Transportation Restrictions at Disney Springs Starting June 2026

Walt Disney World has announced permanent restrictions on transportation between Disney Springs and resort hotels, effective June 28, 2026. These rules apply to both buses and the Sassagoula River Cruise, limiting access to guests with active resort reservations or Advance Dining Reservations. Cast Members will verify eligibility using MagicBands or app bookings before allowing boarding at designated checkpoints near bus loops and boat docks. On-site resort guests retain full freedom to hop between properties via any available transportation without additional verification once they pass the initial checkpoint. Annual Passholders without reservations must park at theme parks first before accessing resorts, though those with valid dining reservations can still use Disney Springs transportation up to two hours in advance. The policy aims to preserve parking availability at Disney Springs for locals and reduce congestion from free-parking exploitation by off-site visitors seeking resort amenities like beignets or shopping. While some guests may face inconvenience, the changes primarily target unauthorized day-use access rather than disrupting legitimate resort hopping plans for registered visitors.
