Baby Giraffe Ivy Makes Debut at Animal Kingdom Safari Ride

A new baby giraffe named Ivy has officially made her debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park. Born in April and weighing 120 pounds, this adorable calf is now visible to guests on the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction. The giraffe care team selected her name from a list of twelve tree-themed options, with Ivy ultimately winning out over other choices. Visitors can see Ivy roaming the savanna alongside her mother Willow and another adult female named Lily. Although initially shy, the young giraffe is now officially part of the park’s animal experience. Burlap fences and keepers ensure her safety while she explores her new environment at Disney World. This special addition to the park brings joy to guests who love seeing new animals born at Animal Kingdom.
