Disney+ Cannot Stream 2026 FIFA World Cup Games in United States

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is currently underway and will continue through July 19th, bringing a month of international soccer excitement. While Disney+ hosts ESPN and various sports packages, it does not have the rights to stream World Cup games in the United States. Viewers interested in watching the matches must turn to cable channels like FOX and FOX Sports for English broadcasts or Telemundo and Universo for Spanish coverage. Streaming options include services such as DirecTV, Fubo, Sling TV, Peacock, FOX One, and Hulu + Live TV. The latter requires a specific live TV bundle since standalone Disney+ or basic Hulu subscriptions do not provide access to the games. In South American countries like Argentina and Colombia, Disney+ Premium will broadcast matches featuring their respective national teams. Ultimately, the absence of English-language broadcast rights on Disney+ prevents U.S. viewers from accessing the tournament through that platform.
