Disney Animal Kingdom Tropical Americas Playground Construction Permit Filed

Walt Disney Imagineering has submitted a new general construction permit for the upcoming Tropical Americas land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The permit specifically designates work for the land’s new playground, which will cater to small children. Landscape Structures Inc., a commercial playground manufacturer, has been awarded the contract to build this inclusive play area. Earlier filings from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection revealed that the playground will replace the current location of Chip and Dale meet-and-greets near DINOSAUR. The new facility is expected to include at least two slides and a climbing structure for young visitors. This development is part of a larger wave of construction permits filed for the Tropical Americas expansion project. Disney continues to keep specific details about the playground under wraps while confirming its inclusion in the land’s lineup.
