Disney Cruise Line Earns Blue Circle Award for Eco-Friendly Operations in Vancouver

The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority has recognized Disney Cruise Line with the 2025 Blue Circle Award, celebrating its commitment to sustainable practices and participation in the port’s EcoAction Program. This marks the thirteenth time the cruise line has received this prestigious honor for reducing emissions and minimizing environmental impact. A key component of Disney’s green strategy involves using shore power whenever available, allowing ships like the Disney Wonder to shut down onboard engines while docked. The company is expanding its Vancouver presence with two ships homeporting for the Alaska season, maintaining high sustainability standards throughout operations. This achievement reflects broader industry leadership, as Disney recently ranked seventh on Forbes’ list of best brands for social impact. With a fleet of eight ships and five more planned by 2031, Disney continues to prioritize environmental stewardship while scaling its global footprint.
