Disney Cruise Line is currently testing a new wearable wristband system on the Disney Treasure cruise ship, which operates out of Port Canaveral. This innovative wristband serves as an alternative to traditional Key to the World cards, offering guests the ability to access their cabins, make onboard purchases, and perform other essential functions. Scott Gustin on X has confirmed that these wristbands are available to guests who do not have Magic Bands, though they remain active only for the specific sailing during the testing period. This development represents a significant update to the cruise line’s technology, potentially signaling future changes for guests across the fleet. Meanwhile, excitement continues to build around the upcoming Disney Believe ship, set to debut on December 18th, 2026. The new vessel will feature an exclusive Broadway-style Encanto show and themed cafes inspired by beloved Disney properties including Snow White, Moana, and Big Hero 6. Rotational dining options like Oaken’s Table will also be available, offering guests immersive experiences centered around Frozen. Bookings for the Disney Believe will open on October 19th, providing early access for eager vacation planners. As the wristband testing progresses, observers will be watching closely to determine if this system becomes a permanent feature for future cruises.
