Orlando is set to welcome a new cultural landmark as the Holocaust Museum for Hope and Humanity prepares for construction. The project, valued at $63 million, will utilize the expertise of MDSX, a design firm renowned for its work on major theme park attractions at Disney and Universal. Groundbreaking is scheduled for late 2026, marking a significant expansion from the center’s current location in Maitland. The new facility will span approximately 25,000 square feet and feature immersive storytelling exhibits focused on eight local Holocaust survivors. This initiative aims to move beyond traditional museum displays by creating emotional connections through physical spaces tailored to personal narratives. Funding efforts have already secured $44 million, including contributions from the state, tax incentives, and leased city property. The collaboration highlights a growing trend of integrating theme park creativity into educational and historical institutions across Central Florida.
