A fifth installment in the Hotel Transylvania franchise has been officially announced, titled The Haunting of Hotel Transylvania. The new animated sequel is scheduled for release on October 8, 2027, marking fourteen years since the original film debuted. Sony Pictures will distribute the movie in North America while Amazon MGM Studios handles international markets. Directors Jennifer Kluska and Alan Hawkins are leading the production, which promises a unique visual style and heartfelt comedy. The plot follows a retired Dracula as his daughter Mavis manages the hotel during unexpected spooky events. This addition joins a growing list of major animated sequels expected in the near future, capitalizing on the franchise’s previous billion-dollar success.
