Disney Touring Plan Software Updated for Lightning Lane Efficiency

An updated version of touring plan software has been released to improve Lightning Lane Multi Pass suggestions for Walt Disney World and Disneyland parks. Testing with real-world plans from the Magic Kingdom shows that these updates increase the average daily use of in-park passes from two to four, saving approximately ten minutes per day in line time. The improvements focus on better handling of expiration rules, tiers, grace periods, and a refined look-ahead feature that more accurately predicts when the next pass will be used. For example, the software now better estimates whether a pass will be redeemed before it expires, using that earlier time if likely instead of the later expiration time as the next booking opportunity. With millions of optimizations completed and approaching a million users, the software aims to allow advanced customization while maintaining sensible defaults, such as recommending a pass only if it saves at least ten minutes in line. Users can also customize parameters like the Lightning Lane grace period, ranging from zero to 119 minutes, to fit their personal touring style and comfort levels.
