Walt Disney World is transforming part of Frontierland into a new Cars-themed land called Piston Peak National Park, replacing Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island. The area draws inspiration from the Planes: Fire & Rescue franchise and will feature two major attractions for guests to enjoy. Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin Along will showcase the demolition derby character with a large Audio-Animatronic school bus figure. The signature attraction Cars Ridge Run Rally will take riders on an off-road race up Piston Peak through a geyser field using a unique ride system. Construction has begun at Magic Kingdom with Imagineering teams creating new figures, props, and special effects for the expansion.
