Disney World Celebrates America’s 250th Anniversary With Grand Fireworks Shows

Disney World is preparing for a busy summer season filled with exciting new attractions and special events. The resort will host grand celebrations marking the United States’ 250th anniversary, particularly during the Fourth of July weekend. Magic Kingdom will feature an expanded nighttime spectacular called Disney’s Celebrate America, which runs across three nights from July 3rd through 5th. EPCOT is also joining the festivities with its Heartbeat of Freedom fireworks show, extended to three nights for this special occasion. Both parks will offer exclusive character experiences and limited-time food offerings throughout the holiday weekend. However, guests should note that Carousel of Progress in Magic Kingdom will close on July 6th before reopening in 2027 with a completely new design. Additional summer events include Cool Kids’ Summer programming and Typhoon Lagoon’s H2O Glow after-hours experience running through September.
