Disney World Updates New Attractions, Closures, and Resort Construction News

Disney World continues to undergo significant changes with new attractions like Monstropolis arriving at Hollywood Studios and the upcoming Piston Peak replacing the Rivers of America. Several areas including Pete’s Silly Sideshow and Big Top Souvenirs remain temporarily closed for repairs, while others like Tom Sawyer Island have permanently shut down for construction. The Animation Courtyard is transitioning to feature new lands with phased openings, though some attractions like Muppet*Vision 3D and Mama Melrose’s are closing forever. Resort hotels face ongoing construction through 2027 affecting guest experiences, with dining locations experiencing temporary closures for refurbishment. New developments include the Tropical Americas land at DinoLand U.S.A. and the relocation of several BoardWalk establishments to new locations later in 2026.
