A new permit has been filed, naming Mecca Productions as the contractor responsible for the upcoming general construction work. Visitors can expect a new pre-show featuring a Walt Disney animatronic figure to complement the refreshed experience. Walls appeared outside the show building shortly after closure, marking the beginning of these extensive renovations. While the attraction has received updates before, this overhaul promises substantial changes to the classic show. The Carousel of Progress is estimated to reopen to the public in 2027 following this extensive renovation period.
