The attraction revolutionized locker systems by integrating them directly into the ride experience with a unique double-sided retrieval system. VelociCoaster combines thrilling coaster elements like airtime and inversions with full immersive theming, earning high ratings across all age demographics. The ride has inspired numerous fan creations including detailed artwork, custom LEGO builds, and extensive photography collections. Universal’s marketing campaign included humorous churro stand references during construction and launched a new Isla Nublar IPA beer.
