Magic Kingdom Boardwalk Disappears From App Amid Construction Changes

Disney is transforming the Magic Kingdom with major changes including a new Cars-themed area called Piston Peak. This project involves filling in the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island to create new land. While initial plans suggested the Frontierland Boardwalk would remain, recent updates on the Walt Disney World app show most of it missing from maps. The boardwalk was a popular shortcut for guests and offered scenic views of the park’s back area. Its absence could mean temporary closure due to construction or permanent removal entirely. Fans hope the pathway will reopen once Piston Peak is complete in a few years. More updates on these changes are expected as construction progresses throughout the park.
