New aerial photographs show that the former Sinbad Theater at Universal Islands of Adventure has been completely demolished, marking a significant change in the ongoing transformation of The Lost Continent land. The 1700-seat venue that once hosted The Eighth Voyage of Sinbad live-action stunt show is now just a construction site with dirt and scattered remnants visible. Excavators continue clearing debris while retaining walls and concrete sections remain around the area where guests previously watched sword fights and pyrotechnics. This demolition adds to the list of extinct attractions in the land, following the closure of Poseidon’s Fury in 2023 and the earlier takeover by The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Although some Mediterranean-inspired architecture still stands near guest pathways, Universal has not announced plans for what will replace the former theater and remaining portions of The Lost Continent. Longtime fans express mixed emotions as another piece of Islands of Adventure history disappears while construction activity suggests substantial changes are coming in the years ahead.
