We’re gettin’ AP magnets, PEOPLE! And they’re being sent to us in the mail! Only ONE AP magnet will be sent out per household. Now, Disney hasn’t shared what these magnets will look like, so we aren’t sure if they will be a Flower and Garden magnet or something else entirely. So stay tuned!

Club 33 and Golden Oaks Members Can Also Attend Disney World’s Early Previews!

Magic Kingdom

But Disney World APs aren’t the only folks who’ll be welcomed back before the parks reopen to the general public!

Thanks to reporter Scott Gustin, we’ve just learned Club 33 and Golden Oaks members will also have early access to the theme parks on July 9th!

NEW: July 9 is also the scheduled preview date for Club 33 and Golden Oak.

— Scott Gustin (@ScottGustin) June 19, 2020

That means if you’re not a Disney World Annual Passholder, but you’re a Club 33 or Golden Oaks member, you will also be eligible to attend the early preview.

Although not explicitly stated, we’re expecting reservations will most likely be required, as is the case for Annual Passholders. Park reservations will be limited, and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The preview dates are as follows:

  • Club 33 and Golden Oak Previews of Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom — July 9th
  • Annual Passholder Previews of Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom — July 9th and July 10th
  • Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Park Reopening — July 11th
  • Hollywood Studios and Epcot Park Reopening — July 15th

We’ll keep you posted on all further developments!

NEWS: Disney World Releases Updated Options for Annual Passholders Ahead of Reopening

The reopening of the Disney World theme parks is an unprecedented situation. Disney is walking a fine line in making sure their guests are happy with the protocols.

NEWS: Disney World Releases Updated Options for Annual Passholders Ahead of Reopening

2020 Annual Passholder Magnet

One heavily affected group is Disney World Annual Passholders. The closure of the parks and modified reopening are definitely not what Passholders had in mind when they purchased their passes. Now, Disney is giving Passholders options for how they want to handle their passes with the reopening.

We already know that Disney is extending affected annual passes by the number of days the parks were closed. The issue now is that many Passholders may have concerns with navigating the Disney Park Pass reservation system and being limited to one park each day with a 3-day reservable limit. In response, Disney is giving Passholders the option to FURTHER extend their pass or to cancel their pass.

For Annual Passholders that have paid in full, your options are:

  • Receive a one-month extension to your pass. The additional month will be automatically processed and visible in your My Disney Experience account in October 2020.
  • Or, choose to cancel your annual pass and receive a partial refund.

For Annual Passholders on the monthly payment plan, your options are:

  • Receive a one-month extension to your pass. The additional month will be automatically processed and visible in your My Disney Experience account in October 2020. Monthly payments will resume on July 11th.
  • Or, choose to cancel your annual pass and waive your monthly payments due after August 11th. Any payments made between July 11th and August 11th will be retroactively refunded and all future payments will be stopped.

Disney will be sending out information to Passholders in early July with details on how to choose an option. If you’re an affected Passholder with questions, reach out to us! We’ll do everything we can to source the answers to your questions in this confusing time. For all the latest Annual Passholder updates, keep an eye on DFB!

Will you be canceling your Annual Pass or taking the extension? Tell us in the comments!

Disney World’s Annual Passholder Calendar Has Been Updated to Reflect Required Reservation Information

As Disney World prepares for Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom’s reopening on July 11th followed by Epcot and Hollywood Studios on July 15th, we’re anxiously awaiting further details on the new reservation system which is being implemented to help limit each theme parks’ capacity!

And while Disney has reached out to APs with a word of thanks recently, launched a new AP webpage, and has confirmed the parks will reopen for a special Annual Passholder preview before opening to the general public, we also know APs will be required to have a reservation if they wish to visit.

We noticed Disney World has updated its Annual Passholder admission calendar today to reflect this recent change. The website also suggests APs check back to see if your desired date and park are available.

Days that are now shown in green now mean Disney World Annual Passholders will need to obtain a reservation before entering the theme parks. For Platinum Plus and Platinum APs, all dates from today through June 2021 are now showing green. Of course, these dates are subject to change once Disney World begins operating at its normal capacity again.

Any applicable blocked out dates are also still in effect based on the Disney World Annual Pass you have. As you can see, Silver members are still blocked from using their annual passes until August 7th.
