Passholders apparently rushed to their accounts to secure their spots for the preview days in Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on July 9th and 10th. Now, in what feels like no time, BOTH Passholder Preview days are full.

If you attempt to register for the Disney World reopening previews now, you will be directed to this screen that notes “Event Is Full.”

Here’s What You NEED to Know About Making a Disney World Park Pass Reservation for Your Entire Party!

It has been a WEEK in Disney World news!

Here’s What You NEED to Know About Making a Disney World Park Pass Reservation for Your Entire Party!

Food and Wine Festival 2019

We’ve shared some wild stuff recently, like the brand new version of Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival that debuts July 15th, the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (still crying a little bit), and the announcement for ALL the rides and entertainment re-opening in the parks.

Sounds like a lot, right? Well, Disney has ALSO released information on the Disney Park Pass, which is Disney World’s new mandatory theme park reservation system. The system will go live TOMORROW, June 22nd, at 7 AM EST for guests with existing hotel reservations and valid theme park entry to schedule their visits to the parks.

Although we’ve given you a step-by-step tutorial on how to make reservations through Disney Park Pass, things can be a little bit confusing since there are so many different situations to consider. And, our number one priority here at DFB is to help you with your vacation and planning needs (and keep you up to date on all the Disney news!).

We’ve been seeing a lot of confusion over how regular ticket holders and Annual Passholders would be able to make reservations together. Since Annual Passholders will only be able to make 3 park reservations at a time starting June 26th and regular ticket holders can make reservations on June 28th, your Disney plans are probably going to see some major changes.

At this time, we understand that Passholders with a hotel reservation should be allowed to book for the length of their hotel stay, but if your party has both Annual Passholders and regular ticket holders, you may need to make two different park reservations at this time. Disney has stated that all guests must have valid park ticketing, but your type of admission may prevent you from making a certain amount of reservations.

If you have a hotel reservation, but multiple kinds of tickets within your party, you’ll still be able to book together as a group due to your hotel stay. But if, for example, you have a local friend looking to visit with you for the day, even if you’re synced in My Disney Experience, they may need to book their Park Pass separately. Keep in mind that this can always change.

With the announcement of the new Disney Park Pass theme park reservation system today, Disney has elaborated on how it will work for Annual Passholders. We knew that Passholders would be limited in the new system, but now we know more about the protocols. Disney World Passholders will be limited to 3 days of theme park reservations at one time.

Disney added a new section to the Annual Passholder information page today. The new information includes that it may be difficult for Annual Passholders to get park reservations based on availability, some pass benefits and features will not be available, and Passholders will be eligible to make theme park reservations for up to 3 days at a time.

Passholder Limitations

Keep in mind that Passholders staying at select Disney World Resorts or other select hotels with valid admission will be able to make reservations for their entire length of stay. Blockout dates do apply, so you will not have park admission or be able to make reservations for those days.

Disney World’s Annual Passholder Calendar Has Been Updated to Reflect Required Reservation Information

As Disney World prepares for Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom’s reopening on July 11th followed by Epcot and Hollywood Studios on July 15th, we’re anxiously awaiting further details on the new reservation system which is being implemented to help limit each theme parks’ capacity!

And while Disney has reached out to APs with a word of thanks recently, launched a new AP webpage, and has confirmed the parks will reopen for a special Annual Passholder preview before opening to the general public, we also know APs will be required to have a reservation if they wish to visit.

We noticed Disney World has updated its Annual Passholder admission calendar today to reflect this recent change. The website also suggests APs check back to see if your desired date and park are available.

Days that are now shown in green now mean Disney World Annual Passholders will need to obtain a reservation before entering the theme parks. For Platinum Plus and Platinum APs, all dates from today through June 2021 are now showing green. Of course, these dates are subject to change once Disney World begins operating at its normal capacity again.

Any applicable blocked out dates are also still in effect based on the Disney World Annual Pass you have. As you can see, Silver members are still blocked from using their annual passes until August 7th.

Message to Disney Passholders – Soon it’ll be time to Return to the Enchantment

Message to Disney Passholders – Soon it’ll be time to Return to the Enchantment disney passholders

Disney World is reopening next month and many fans are excited and ready to return to the magic. A lot of those fans are Disney Passholders. With all the changes coming to the parks when they reopen, Disney is sending emails to their annual passholders reassuring them that “the magic will still be there.”

Below is the email passholders are receiving:

“Dear Valued Passholder,

Soon it’ll be time to return to the enchantment. To laugh. To wish. To dream. To once again sing along with a small world. Journey to a galaxy far, far away. Conquer Everest. And sail through a Frozen land.

But first, we wanted to offer our most sincere thanks. For your patience. For your trust. For always keeping the magic in your hearts. And for being some of our most cherished fans.

As we adjust to these unprecedented times, the Theme Park experience will understandably be different from what it was when you last visited. At least for the time being. But one very important thing will remain the same: the magic will still be there. And we could all use some of that!

Thanks again. For everything.

We’ll be sure to stay in touch.

Sincerely,
Your Walt Disney World Resort Family”
