And while we knew Disney World APs would have early access to the parks BEFORE they reopened to the general public on July 11th and 15th, we learned AP previews would only be happening at Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom on July 9th and 10th!

And guess what, APs? Today’s your lucky DAY! Disney World has just opened registration to attend its Annual Passholder previews! Weekday Select, Theme Park Select, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus, and Premier Passholders are all eligible to register!

Annual Passholders should be receiving emails presently inviting them to the previews and letting them know that reservations are open.

You can only register for one day and park so you won’t be able to preview at BOTH Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. Registration is fairly simple. Attach guests, select the day and park that you would like to attend the preview, and then confirm. Keep in mind, you CANNOT make modifications after registering.

If eligible Passholders would like to bring a guest, the guest must also have a valid Weekday Select, Theme Park Select, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus, or Premier annual pass. Additionally, your guest must be included on your Family & Friends list (in your Disney account) and have opted to share “All My Plans” with you. If you register a guest on your reservation, they will be unable to make their own reservation.

Club 33 and Golden Oaks Members Can Also Attend Disney World’s Early Previews!

Magic Kingdom

But Disney World APs aren’t the only folks who’ll be welcomed back before the parks reopen to the general public!

Thanks to reporter Scott Gustin, we’ve just learned Club 33 and Golden Oaks members will also have early access to the theme parks on July 9th!

NEW: July 9 is also the scheduled preview date for Club 33 and Golden Oak.

— Scott Gustin (@ScottGustin) June 19, 2020

That means if you’re not a Disney World Annual Passholder, but you’re a Club 33 or Golden Oaks member, you will also be eligible to attend the early preview.

Although not explicitly stated, we’re expecting reservations will most likely be required, as is the case for Annual Passholders. Park reservations will be limited, and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The preview dates are as follows:

  • Club 33 and Golden Oak Previews of Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom — July 9th
  • Annual Passholder Previews of Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom — July 9th and July 10th
  • Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Park Reopening — July 11th
  • Hollywood Studios and Epcot Park Reopening — July 15th

We’ll keep you posted on all further developments!

While we’ve been busy becoming masters of Disney World’s new reservation system (check out our tutorial here!), we’ve also been trying to figure out who will have access to park reservations when it goes live on June 22nd.

A Sight For Sore Eyes!

So far, we’ve been able to confirm guests staying at Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resort (which is owned by Marriott) will have the same access as guests staying at Disney-owned hotels.

And now theme park reporter Carly Weisel has also found out guests who will be staying at one of the seven Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels (which are privately-owned) will ALSO have the same access to park reservations as Disney World guests!

If you have booked a room at one of these resorts AND you have valid theme park admission, you’ll be able to make your Disney World park reservation starting on June 22nd. Thanks to Carly Weisel, we also know guests staying at Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World will qualify as well.

NEWS: Universal CityWalk in Hollywood Is Reopening TODAY!

While Universal Orlando’s CityWalk reopened last month and Florida’s Univeral Orlando’s theme parks reopened on June 5th, the same can’t be said for Universal Hollywood which has remained closed in California since mid-March.

But now Universal Hollywood’s CityWalk has just announced that they’ll begin a phased reopening of several shops and restaurants TODAY!

Universal Hollywood’s CityWalk has just stated that select venues will be open from 12-8 PM daily beginning today. Like in other shopping districts, individual venue hours may vary.

At this time, self-parking is available and complimentary.

Again, this reopening includes limited venues. The opening locations include the following:

They’ve issued many of the same health and safety measures we’ve already seen implemented at Universal Orlando’s CityWalk including all guests and employees must undergo temperature screenings and wear face masks for the duration of their visit except while eating or drinking.

Universal Studios Hollywood hasn’t announced when their theme park will be reopening at this time, but we’ll let you know as soon as we hear anything! Of course, we’re curious if Downtown Disney will be reopening soon in light of this development, so we’ll be on the lookout for any news pertaining to Disneyland Resort too!

Will you be stopping by Universal Hollywood’s CityWalk for the grand reopening? Let us know if you’re planning on going in the comments below!

Disney’s Electrical Water Pageant Will Be Temporarily Unavailable When WDW Reopens

Electrical Water Pageant

Disney’s Electrical Water Pageant will be temporarily unavailable when Walt Disney World reopens!

The Electrical Water Pageant is a 15 minute nighttime aquatic parade at the Magic Kingdom that Disney describes as a show with “whimsical sea creatures sailing across the Seven Seas Lagoon to classic Disney tunes.”

Unfortunately, with the phased reopening of Walt Disney World, many shows, experiences, and parades, including the Electrical Water Pageant, will be unavailable upon reopening. These unfortunate delays in the opening of shows is to limit the gathering of crowds while COVID-19 concerns are still in place.

While the phased reopening of Walt Disney World won’t be exactly how we’re used to enjoying the parks, we’re just ready to be back at the “happiest place on Earth!” We’ll also be looking forward to the shows and experiences coming back at a safer time, including this “Underwater World of Mystery” (Electrical Water Pageant).
