Bring Frozen 2 To Your Home In Style With Disney Bounding

Now that we have all been at home for quite some time, we’re sure you are watching a lot of Frozen 2 on Disney Plus. Don’t worry, so are we! Thanks to the Disney Bounding fashionista herself, Leslie Kay, we have an all new reason to watch. Leslie’s carefully created three super cool looks for Frozen 2 fans just like us!

Disney Bounding is where Disney meets fashion and magic happens! Any one can do it and it allows us to be as creative as possible. Disney Bounding at home, however, adds another essential element: comfort-ability. Besides, the comfort will help as you’re singing along to all those epic songs in Frozen 2.

For the perfect Disney Bounding tips, there’s one person who really knows her way around. Leslie Kay is the epitome of all things Disney Bound. She literally wrote the book on it, “DisneyBound: Dress Disney and Make It Fashion”. These three looks, created by Leslie herself, are the perfect fit for your next Frozen movie night!

This Anna look is giving us some seriously royal vibes! The royal purple mixed with the metallic details are truly fit for any queen. The black dress offers a free flowing style that adds a level of comfort that is perfect for wearing at home.

In Frozen 2, we see a different side to Elsa than in the first film. Her adventure outfit is a bit more “queen casual” than her signature “Let It Go” gown. This bound matches that cool and casual look. Also, we can’t help but be living for those icicle, sparkly sneakers!

Last, is the reindeer king himself, Kristoff. This look is equally effortless as it is stylish. Pair neutral colors together to create a similar Kristoff color palette. Tie in some boots and try to get the family pet to stand in as your Sven and you are all set!

We hoped these looks help you in creating your own Frozen 2 looks! Remember, to make it creative and make it your own. Nothing completes a look more than owning it and being confident. Also, if you do put together some cool Disney Bounds, make sure to tag @ChipandCo on Instagram so we can check them out!

Disney Bounding at Home: ‘Frozen 2’-Inspired Looks Featuring Anna, Elsa and Kristoff

This one goes out to all the Disney fashionistas out there: whether you’re brand new to Disney bounding at home, or a seasoned pro, there’s no better time to embody your favorite Disney characters and create a comfy-meets-fashion Disney look at home using items from your own closet!

Today is National Streaming Day, and this year fans can stream their favorites or discover something new on Disney+! I’ve been streaming Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen 2” while belting “Show Yourself” so loudly that the entire kingdom of Arendelle can hear me. So, I reached out to Leslie Kay, author of the new book, “DisneyBound: Dress Disney and Make It Fashion”, to help you find that Arendelle magic in items you already own.

Check out the inspiration boards below for some adventurous attire, fit for any queen or king, without having to turn your entire home to ice!

Else-inspired look

To channel the Snow Queen herself, Elsa, an icy blue hue is key. Light denims, a pale blue wrap or cardigan and belt, and some sparkly shoes are all it takes to prepare to step into your powers!

Anna-inspired look

Embark on an adventure at home – or even in your own backyard—in an Anna-inspired LBD (little black dress) with a purple wrap or cape. Top it off with some black booties and copper jewelry, and you’ll be ready to do the next right thing!

Kristoff-inspired look

To channel Kristoff’s ruggedly handsome but equally adventurous iceman look, you only need some black jeans, a brown T-shirt and black vest or hoodie, and some boots. Bonus points if you have a pet at home who can step in as your reindeer companion Sven!

Embrace what makes you different and check out how you can make your very own Disney-inspired looks in Leslie’s new book, “DisneyBound: Dress Disney and Make It Fashion”,  as well as our guide to Disney bounding at home as Ian & Barley from “Onward”!

Also, don’t forget to share your “Frozen”-fractally looks with us by using #DisneyMagicMoments on Instagram.

Rumored: Disney Developing Live-Action ‘Snow Queen’ Film Not Related to ‘Frozen’

Rumored: Disney Developing Live-Action ‘Snow Queen’ Film Not Related to ‘Frozen’. In 2013, Frozen took the world by snow storm and has become an instant Disney Classic sparking two canon short films (Frozen Fever and Olaf’s Frozen Adventure), a non-canon LEGO short film series, At Home With Olaf shorts series, a Broadway adaption of the film, appearance of the characters in ABC’s Once Upon a Time, and a sequel equally as impressive as the first film simply called: Frozen II.

It’s no secret that Disney likes to not only expand on current intellectual properties, but they are not afraid to reimagine stories that have explored previously. One such story is The Snow Queen, an original fairytale by none other than famed Danish Author, Hans Christen Andersen. It is well known that Frozen is very loosely based on this tale, but it seems Disney may want to further explore the original story as was the original intention for Frozen.

Rumor has it, Disney is looking to film a live-action Snow Queen film that would be released in theaters sometime in the near future and have nothing to do with the Frozen franchise. Currently, Kristin Burr is the only name tied to the project and is said to be producing the film, but no formal casting choices or production team members other than Burr have been announced at the time of writing.

“The Snow Queen is an original fairy tale by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. It was first published 21 December 1844 in New Fairy Tales. First Volume. Second Collection. 1845. The story centers on the struggle between good and evil as experienced by Gerda and her friend, Kai.”

Do you think it’s too soon for another Snow Queen movie from Disney? Or are you excited to see them venture down a new path closer to the original story by Hans Christian Andersen? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Disney Announces ‘Frozen’ Will Not Return to Broadway after Theaters Reopen

Disney Announces ‘Frozen‘ Will Not Return to Broadway after Theaters Reopen. The news was shared by Thomas Schumacher, the president of Disney Theatrical Productions in a letter to his staff.

The letter addressed how it is believed Frozen would not bring in the audiences needed to recoup losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic and has subsequently been cancelled. Having performed the “weakest” out of the three shows featured on Broadway in 2020, it seems natural the company would chose to close Frozen in favor of a new title that is more in demand by future audiences. “This difficult decision was made for several reasons but primarily because we believe that three Disney productions will be one too many titles to run successfully in Broadway’s new landscape,” shares Schumacher in the letter.

The letter also outlined that the company remains committed to “The Lion King” and “Aladdin” on Broadway, to “The Lion King” and “Mary Poppins” in London’s West End, and to touring productions of “The Lion King” and “Frozen” in North America and “The Lion King” in Britain. Schumacher shared a bit of insight into the future of Disney on Broadway and shared several new adaptions are currently in the works for the company including The Jungle Book, The Princess Bride, Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Hercules.

Disney Legend and famed composer Alan Menken has been hard at work with adapting Hercules for Broadway, but this is the first we have heard of The Jungle Book, The Princess Bride, and Bedknobs and Broomsticks being adapted for the stage! Disney Theatrical Productions is also working on overseas projects such as a revamping of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Aida.

We are sorry to see DTP “Let it Go” sooner than expected, but we will still be able to enjoy the Broadway hit during the national tour later this year. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for all things Disney on Broadway!
