Tokyo Disneyland Unveils Wreck-It Ralph Ride Opening Date 2027

Disney has officially announced that Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue, a new interactive attraction based on the world of Wreck-It Ralph, will open in Tomorrowland at Tokyo Disneyland on April 15, 2027. The ride replaces Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters and features an indoor gameplay experience where guests help restore candy-themed creatures known as Sugar Bugs. Oriental Land Company is investing approximately ¥29.5 billion, or roughly $200 million, in the project to create a family-friendly experience with new technology for Disney parks. The announcement also confirmed that Space Mountain Earthrise will open later in 2027 rather than simultaneously with the new Ralph ride. A series of celebratory programs, including a smartphone mini-game and projection-mapping shows on Cinderella Castle, will begin in January 2027 to build excitement. New merchandise shops and dining locations, such as Pixel Prism and Popping Station, will also debut alongside the attraction.
