Universal Epic Universe will temporarily close its Broadway-style attraction, The Untrainable Dragon, from September 15 through September 20, 2026, for a brief refurbishment period. Located within the How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk land, this popular entertainment feature showcases Hiccup and Toothless investigating a mysterious new dragon using elaborate sets and stunning puppetry. A major highlight involves a full-sized Toothless puppet that weighs over 1,150 pounds and features a wingspan nearing twenty-seven feet, soaring above the audience during the performance. Following its successful debut at Universal Studios Beijing, the show has become one of Epic Universe’s signature attractions since opening in the United States. Despite the closure, visitors can still enjoy other attractions in Isle of Berk such as Hiccup’s Wing Gliders and Fyre Drill while waiting for the show’s return.
