Volcano Bay Undergoes Major Refurbishment With New Cabanas and Extended Closure

Universal Orlando’s Volcano Bay water park is set for a significant five-month refurbishment starting October 26th, 2026, and running through March 24th, 2027. During this period, the park will remain closed to guests while extensive maintenance and infrastructure improvements are carried out. Construction has already begun on new two-story cabanas located behind the lazy river area of the resort. These structures are being built with privacy in mind, featuring a tall bamboo wall along the park’s edge. Recent aerial views show that construction progress is moving forward well, with most structures nearly complete and roofing work underway. The refurbishment aims to enhance the overall guest experience by updating facilities throughout the entire property. Visitors are encouraged to stay informed about ongoing updates as the park prepares for its reopening in 2027.
