BREAKING NEWS: These Disney World Restaurants Will Be OPEN Starting June 22nd!

Big news, everybody! We now know MORE about the return of our beloved Disney World restaurants!

Beaches and Cream

Disney World theme parks are set to begin a phased reopening on July 11th, but at the end of this month, signs of guest life will begin returning to Disney World. Disney Vacation Club Resorts and Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will reopen on June 22nd. Now, Disney has released the list of ALL of the RESTAURANTS that will be opening that day!

Many dining experiences will be unavailable and the ones that are open will be modified with new health measures. Here’s everything that’s opening on June 22nd!

Disney’s Contemporary Resort

The reopening restaurants in Disney’s Contemporary Resort include:

The Wave…of American Flavors Entrance

We can’t wait to get back to those yummy cupcakes at Contempo Café, but we can’t say we’re not a little bummed that California Grill won’t be reopening at first!

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

The reopening restaurants in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge include:

Whispering Canyon Cafe

Many of our favorite options are reopening at Wilderness Lodge! It will be nice to watch the sunset from Geyser Point Bar & Grill once more.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

The reopening restaurants in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge include:

Animal Kingdom Lodge

If you know us, you know we love Sanaa. Butter Chicken, here we come!

Want to see why we love Sanaa? Click here!

Disney’s Beach Club Resort

The reopening restaurants in Disney’s Beach Club Resort include:

No Way Jose

Beaches and Cream Soda Shop just reopened from renovation a couple months prior to the closure, so returning guests will get to enjoy the newly-updated space.

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

The reopening restaurants in Disney’s BoardWalk Inn include:

Disney’s BoardWalk

Keep in mind that most Character Dining options will not be returning when the parks reopen. So don’t expect to hang with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider at Trattoria al Forno’s Bon Voyage Breakfast.

Didn’t know you could meet Flynn Rider in a restaurant? Click here!

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

The reopening restaurants in Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground include:

Welcome to Fort Wilderness!

You’ll notice that many buffet options, like Trail’s End Restaurant, will remain closed for the time being.

Disney’s Old Key West Resort

The reopening restaurants in Disney’s Old Key West Resort include:

Olivia’s Cafe

Oh yeah, Key Lime Pie, we’re coming for you!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

The reopening restaurants in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort include:

Polynesian Lava You

We had our fingers crossed for ‘Ohana since the meals are served family-style, but it looks like no dice! And, you can go ahead and scratch out the time you had planned to stand in line for Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto. At least we can soothe our woes with some Dole Whip concoctions.

Dreaming of Dole Whip, click here!

Disney’s Riviera Resort

The reopening restaurants in Disney’s Riviera Resort include:

Disney’s Riviera Resort

Here’s a win: ALL of the dining options at the new Riviera Resort will be reopening! Topolino’s Terrace will even have their character dining — just with some changes.

Click here for our FULL REVIEW of the character breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace!

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort

The reopening restaurants in Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort include:

Beef and Egg Thin Crust Pie

You may not be sitting down at Turf Club Bar & Grill at Saratoga Springs, but you’ll still have your fair share of dining options.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

The reopening restaurants in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort include:

The Library at Enchanted Rose

Of course, we’re excited to see that many of the dining locations are open at Grand Floridian, but it definitely makes us sad that none of the fancy table-service restaurants are opening. That means no 1900 Park Fare, no Narcoossee’s, no Citricos, and no Victoria & Albert’s initially.

There you have it! That’s all of the reopening options coming back to Disney World before the end of the month. As of right now, reservations aren’t open for these spots, but we’ll be sure to update when they are. We’ll keep an eye out for any changes to the list, too!

Disney Recipe: Clear the Freezer — We’re Making The Kitchen Sink Sundae From Beaches & Cream Soda Shop

Have you ever built your own sundae and there were just too many choices??

The Kitchen Sink Sundaes at Disney’s Beach Club Resort

The ice cream was already starting to melt as you piled on even more sprinkles and cookie crumbs? Well we have some great news for you — you can have ALL the toppings with this sundae recipe inspired by the Kitchen Sink from Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.

If you’ve ever been to Beaches and Cream Soda Shop, you may have caught a glimpse of this concoction. We’d like to say this sundae has “everything but the kitchen sink,” but, well — it has one of those too!

Close up on the Original Kitchen Sink

But get your shopping list ready and clear out the freezer because Disney’s recipe doesn’t skimp on the ingredients! You are, of course, free to substitute as you please and make your own creation, but this is Disney’s version with a patriotic twist!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup warm fudge topping
  • 1/2 cup warm butterscotch topping
  • 1/2 cup warm peanut butter topping
  • 1 medium banana, sliced in 1/2-inch slices
  • 1 cinnamon spice cupcake (2 ½ x 1 1/4-inch), quartered
  • 1 angel food cupcake (3 x 1 1/2-inch), quartered
  • 2 generous scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 2 generous scoops chocolate ice cream
  • 2 generous scoops strawberry ice cream
  • 1 generous scoop mint chocolate chip ice cream
  • 1 generous scoop coffee ice cream
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 1/4 cup marshmallow cream
  • 1/4 cup strawberry topping
  • 1/4 cup pineapple topping
  • 14-ounce can dairy whipped topping
  • 1 large brownie (6-inch x 6-inch), quartered
  • 1 regular-sized candy bar, quartered
  • 4 chocolate cookies with cream filling
  • 1 tablespoon sliced toasted almonds
  • 1 tablespoon dark and white chocolate shavings
  • 1 tablespoon crushed chocolate cookies with cream filling
  • 1 tablespoon chopped jellied orange slices, about 2 large slices
  • 1 tablespoon milk chocolate chip morsels
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter chip morsels
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate sprinkles
  • 1 tablespoon rainbow sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup drained maraschino cherries

To Serve

  1. Pour hot fudge, butterscotch, and peanut butter toppings into bottom of large bowl.
  2. Layer banana slices and cupcake pieces over toppings. Top with all ice creams.
  3. As quickly as possible, spoon chocolate syrup, marshmallow cream, strawberry, and pineapple toppings over ice cream.
  4. Cover completely with dairy whipped topping. Tuck brownie pieces, candy bar pieces, and cookies in whipped topping.
  5. Sprinkle with toasted almonds, dark and white chocolate shavings, crushed cookies, jellied orange slices, milk chocolate chip morsels, peanut butter morsels, chocolate sprinkles, and rainbow sprinkles. Top with cherries.

And DIVE IN because this thing will melt quickly on you. You can watch Disney’s video on how to assemble your own Kitchen Sink sundae below!

You can make it your own, serve it in individual bowls — whatever you please! Let us know if you tried it and how YOU would make the perfect Kitchen Sink sundae!

What would you add to your Kitchen Sink? Let us know in the comments!
