Star Wars Fan Syncs X-Wing Footage to ‘Danger Zone’ from Top Gun

Star Wars Fan Syncs X-Wing Footage to ‘Danger Zone’ from Top Gun. Massive Star Wars fan Jackson McKay has made the ultimate compilation of X-Wing footage from Star Wars: Episodes IV-IX and Rogue One and synced the video to Danger Zone, the iconic Kenny Loggins song from Top Gun.

Jackson shared, “I waited to make this until I could use [The Rise Of Skywalker] footage. X-Wings are my favorite starfighters, so it seemed like a fun project to keep me occupied while we’re all social distancing. Hope you enjoy!”

You can check out the full video below:

The pairing only seems natural given the nature of the song and the parallel to the use of X-Wings in the Star Wars franchise and the fighter jets used in Top Gun. We loved this creative compilation. Thanks, Jackson!

The Origins of Kylo Ren’s Lightsaber Have Been Revealed

The Origins of Kylo Ren’s Lightsaber Have Been Revealed. Many Star Wars fans have been curious about the creation of Rey’s new lightsaber since its reveal in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, but do you know the origins of Kylo Ren’s unique lightsaber?

In Star Wars: The Last Jedi it is revealed that Ben Solo (Kylo Ren, before turning to the Dark Side) had a blue lightsaber while training under Luke. In a canon Marvel comic series called The Rise of Kylo Ren, it is revealed that after Ben attacks Luke and leaves the training compound, as he turns to the Dark Side he decides to make the cyber crystal in his lightsaber “bleed” and in doing so cracks the crystal, causing the saber to become unstable and short out. Ben then decides to add the exhaust ports that make the cross guard and then “Kylo Ren“and his iconic lightsaber were born.

The comic is worth the read for fans and gives better understanding and details that were too tedious to be incorporated into the films. The comic was written by Charles Soule with artwork by Will Sliney. Check out a synopsis for the comic below:

“Young Ben Solo is legendary Jedi Luke Skywalker’s most promising pupil. As the son of Rebel Alliance heroes Leia Organa and Han Solo, as well as Luke’s own nephew, Ben has the potential to be a great force for light in the galaxy. But the Skywalker legacy casts a long shadow, the currents of the dark side run deep, and Darth Vader’s blood runs in Ben’s veins. Voices call from both his past and his future, telling him who he must be. He will shatter, he will be reforged, his destiny will be revealed. Snoke awaits. The Knights of Ren await. Ben Solo’s path to his true self begins here.”
